Summer 2015: Snowpocalypse

Drew teacher Natasha Jenkins-Jones explains how 3rd graders studied thermal energy and persuasive writing through the lens of Atlanta’s recent “Snowpocalypse.”

August 2015: Representing numbers

These Drew 2nd graders are reinforcing their conceptual understanding of numbers by matching the number to a visual of its place value representation. Like many Drew activities, they are working in groups to practice their vocabulary together and to learn how to work collaboratively.

August 2015: Learning ABCs through music

Just one week into the school year, STEAM is already in full swing at Drew. Watch Drew teacher Mr. Garner reinforce the ABCs with Drew Kindergarten students, integrating fun and music into the lesson.
